Dear Chess Friends!

An article about me was published this week on Linked In! It briefly tells about my path as a chess coach and player. I share with you an excerpt from it.

“Victor is a FIDE Master with a peak rating of 2305. He was introduced to chess at the early age of 5 by his grandfather. His grandfather was a military man who taught him and his cousin to play the game.

The game on the 64 square became Victor’s whole life. He spent all his childhood learning chess theory, studying from the classics, and becoming stronger at the game each day.

After getting a Master’s Degree in Economics at Novosibirsk State University (Russia), he realized that he wanted to connect his professional life with chess. Thus began his journey as a professional chess coach.

With over eight years of coaching experience, he specializes in opening theory and tactics. He has also authored several educational chess courses on Udemy and Skillshare.

Victor is a popular figure in the Russian chess community, with many students learning from him and an undying passion for spreading the game to as many people as he can. He has produced several courses on improving tactical vision for beginners.

As a chess coach, he believes that the one thing that most new players struggle with is tactical vision. When kids start playing the game, they often miss knockout tactical punches in the position, instead choosing the safer option more”
